SERGEANT BLUFF -- Francisco J. Mancilla, 55, of Sergeant Bluff died Monday, July 11, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City. The body will be cremated following the funeral Mass. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a Scripture wake service at 7 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Francisco was born Dec. 3, 1949, in Linares, N.L., Mexico, the son of Guadalupe and Victoria (Rivera) Mancilla.

He married Felicitas S. Saenz in November 1969 in Reynosa, TAM, Mexico. He moved to Omaha, Neb., in the 1970s. He came to Dakota City in 1976 and moved to Sergeant Bluff in 2002. He was employed in maintenance at Tyson Fresh Meats Inc.

Survivors include his wife, Felicitas; his parents, Guadalupe and Victoria Mancilla of Dakota City; four sons, Guadalupe and Francisco Jr. of Sioux City, Anthony of Omaha and Michael of Sergeant Bluff; a grandson, Alexander Mancilla; two brothers, Silverio Mancilla of Chicago and Leo Mancilla of South Sioux City; and two sisters, Imelda Lara and Lilia Kristoff, both of Omaha.
