Ida Mae Maron, 93, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Prairie Estates Healthcare Community in Elk Point, S.D.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Following the services, burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Ida was born on March 23, 1925, in Sioux City, to Oscar and Ethel (Harrison) Coyle. She attended Sioux City Schools in Leeds. Ida married Glen "Bud" Maron on May 27, 1941, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Glen passed away in 2001. Ida and Bud attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years and later Concordia Lutheran Church until she was unable to attend due to her health.

Ida worked at The Battery and then at Wincharger. She continued at Wincharger through the name change to Zenith, retiring as supervisor following 38 plus years of employment.

Ida enjoying knitting, crocheting, doing ceramics, baking, and cooking. Ida and Bud spent many years with the same group of friends. They would do some traveling, go camping at Lake Okoboji, dancing, among other things.

Survivors include her children, Bryan Maron and his wife, Rhonda Rogers of Sioux City, and Donna Rasmussen and her husband, Bob of Jefferson, S.D.; sisters, Joyce Oiler of Lebannon, Ore., and Beverly Burright of Sioux City; sister-in-law, Mercedes Coyle of Sioux City; grandchildren, Lauri Iddings, Heather Maron Vaughan and her husband, Sean, Stephanie Taylor and her husband, Alfred, and Josh Rogers; many great- grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jack Coyle; sisters, Lorna Coyle, Irene Hansel, and Dolly Sherrill.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Prairie Estates Healthcare in Elk Point for the warm and loving care they gave to Ida.
