Dennis "Denny" Rehan, 71, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at a Sioux City hospital, surrounded by his family.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Revs. Armand Bertrand and Daniel Rupp officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the church parish center. Condolences can be left for the family online at www.christysmith.com.

Denny was born on July 11, 1946, in Sioux City, to Shaffy and Marie (Abboud) Rehan. He graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in 1964. On Oct. 22, 1977, Denny married the love of his life, Beverly Broderick. From this union came two beautiful children, Erin and Jeffrey. Denny was a consummate salesman throughout his life for various companies around Siouxland, retiring from Artisan Press. Many people will remember Denny for being an integral part of the community, his generosity, and his love to converse with anyone he met along the way. He lived his life with a big heart, always helping others and never asking for anything in return. His kindness will leave an impact on all of his friends, family and any one whose life he may have touched.

Denny was a committed family man who loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. He enjoyed going to their sporting events, spending time with family and friends, and never missed an opportunity to socialize. He was a devoted and devout member of Immaculate Conception Church, where he dedicated himself to his faith while mentoring countless people and organizing church functions. His amazing compassion to help others led him to selflessly volunteer his time and energy to a multitude of organizations in the community. He was a man of God and lived life serving others.

The family would also like to send a special thanks to the staff at Siouxland Pace, and the doctors and nurses working at Unity Point Health St. Luke’s Hospital.

Loved ones that will miss and cherish Denny until they meet again are his children, Erin (Travis) Robertson and Jeffrey (Tobi) Rehan, both of Sioux City; his brother Tom Rehan of Sioux City; one sister, Carol Joy of Menomonie, Wis.; grandchildren, Kris, Adam and Hailey Robertson, and Landon and Logan Jones; one great-grandchild, Ryder Robertson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Beverly; and two sisters, Janet Hopper and Connie Gridley.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Telco Triad Community Credit Union under the Denny Rehan Memorial Fund, with proceeds going to Denny’s favorite charitable organizations.

Denny was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be missed dearly.
