Norman C. Plummer, 50, a former Sioux Cityan, died January 18, in a Calcutta, India hospital. Mrs. Charles A. Smith, 2107 S. St. Aubin Street, a sister of Mr. Plummer, was notified Tuesday by cable of the death.

Mr. Plummer was a world war veteran and had been in the employ of an oil company in India for the last 18 years. He was a field superintendent for the Burma Oil Company at the time of his death.

Survivors include the widow, Theresa, a daughter, Joan; a brother, Harry of Whittier, California and the sister, Mrs. Smith.
