Konstance M. "Konnie" Post, 87 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Visitation with the family will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Kostance M. (Konnie) Post was born on Dec. 19, 1930, in Sioux City, the adopted daughter of Lorenz D. "Dude" Klingler and Virginia Palmer Klingler. Konnie attended schools in Whiting, and Sioux City, Iowa, graduating from Central High School in 1948. She attended the University of South Dakota, and graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1970.

On May 12, 1956, she married Frank G. Post. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before his death in 2010. In 1978, Konnie graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing, and was very proud to have worked as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit until her retirement.

Konnie was a lifelong member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and was involved as a member of the youth group, choir, and as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed reading, music, needlework, and her pugs, Teddy, Tommy, and Sir Robbie during their lives. Konnie adored spending time with and talking to her children and grandchildren

Survivors include daughter, Rebecca, grandchildren, Kevin, Nathan, Jordan and Kelsie (O'Donnel) Post, and great-grandchildren, Addison, Hayden, and Kane all of Waterloo, Iowa; son, Thomas Post, and grandchildren, Rachel, Christian, and Madeleine, all of Denver, Colo.; beloved son, Frank Post, grandson, Aaron and Chrissie (Stabile) Post, and great-granddaughter, Chloee, all of Sioux City; and son David, granddaughter, Sarah, and great-granddaughter, Karah, all of Sioux City.
