Mrs. Mary Fountaine, 73, Jefferson, S.D. died Thursday morning in a local hospital.

She was born in Jefferson, January 16, 1868. In 1891 she was married to J.B. Fountaine. Her husband and five of their children preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frank Hoffman, Mrs. Omer LeFleur and Mrs. Clarence Bernard; one son, Grover Fountaine, all of Jefferson; three sisters, Mrs. W.A. Montagne and Mrs. Sarah Bosse of Jefferson and Mrs. Grace Staber of Madison, Wisconsin; two brothers, Phillip and John Bourassa, of Jefferson; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Larkin Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.
