Earl B. Edwards, 75, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, June 13, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clint Poppe officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sioux City. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Edwards married Eleanor Manhold in 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Joy Ann Kowalke on May 1, 1954. He played the saxophone with a dance band.

He was a member of Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Lincoln, the N.A.L.C. with the Post Office and the Musicians Union in Sioux City and Lincoln.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Renfro of Waterloo, Iowa and Mark and his wife Barb Renfro of Sioux City, a daughter and her husband, Paula and Rick Erickson of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a brother and his wife, Clyde and Marge Blinn of Minneapolis, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joy, a daughter, Julie Edwards, and a step-daughter, Darlene Jackson.

Memorials may be directed to Good Shephard Lutheran Church or Tabitha Hospice of Lincoln.

Pallbearers will be Krage, David and Dennis Kowalke, Curt Schoenrock, Dick Kucera, Greg Spevak and Jennifer Helmick.
