Martin B. O'Keefe, 63, of Sioux City, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at his home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Brad Pelzel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with prayer service at 7 p.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff, 400 Fourth Street.

Martin Brian O'Keefe was born on July 4, 1954, in Sioux City, the son of John and Sophie (Czerkas) O'Keefe. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1972. Martin then went on to work for Sodrac Park, and then Sioux Tools for more than 10 years. He was then employed at John Morrell for more than 25 years, up until their closing. He was most recently employed with the Sioux City Foundry.

Martin enjoyed being active with sports throughout his life including league pool, softball and later became an avid golfer, playing in amateur regional tournaments.

Martin is survived by his sister, Marilyn Comar of Sioux City; brothers, Dennis (Virginia) O'Keefe of Aurora, Colo., and Patrick (Cindy) O'Keefe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a son, Jason O'Keefe of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sophie O'Keefe.
