Gladys W. Gibson, 98, of Sioux City died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Marvin Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Gibson was born Aug. 7, 1906, in Sioux City, the daughter of John and Augusta (Swanson) Wenberg. She had lived in Sioux City most of her life. She worked in the sewing room at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center for many years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Virginia and Harold Bose of Sioux City; three grandchildren and their spouses, Douglas and Linda Cannon, Karen and David Sosa and Marcia and Mark Zentmire; four stepgrandchildren, James Bose and his wife, Kathy, Douglas Bose, Charles Bose and Marie and her husband, Michael Kooistra; six great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Paul and Carl Wenberg; and two sisters, Ellen Grindberg and Mabel Swanson.

Pallbearers will be Douglas and Clinton Cannon, David, Eric and Jared Sosa, Mark Zentmire and Michael Barron.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice of Siouxland.
