Orville W. Ingalls, 64, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, January 15, 2000 in Sioux City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller of Goodwill Industries, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8:30 p.m. today, with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. by North Riverside Lodge 622 and an Eastern Star Service at 8 p.m., all at the funeral home.

Mr. Ingalls was born August 8, 1935, in Sioux City, the son of Clarence Herbert and Pearl Ione (Lee) Ingalls. He attended school in the Sioux City area.

He married Charlene Brubaker on June 26, 1954 in Sioux City.

He worked for Sioux City Brick & Tile Company for 48 years, retiring in April of 1999.

He was an active member of North Riverside Masonic Lodge 622 and also an active member of Eastern Star. He belonged to the River City Anglers Club, and was the Treasurer of that organization.

He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed singing country music and working in his yard and garden.

Survivors include his wife of Sioux City, a son and his wife, Darrell and Sherry of Sioux City, a daughter and her husband, Pam and Dave Hackett of Sioux City, a foster son, Tim Fulton of Texas, two brothers and their wives, Loren H. and Betty of Sergeant Bluff and Paul and Denise of Sioux City, four sisters, Jeannie Protiva of Florida, Darlene Curphey of Sioux City, Linda and her husband, Dave Kaufman of Sergeant Bluff and Ruth Ann Morales of Kansas City, Missouri, five grandchildren, Kristina, Cynthia, Brett, Jay and Ashley, two step-grandchildren, Troy and Angela, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Cynthia, a sister, Vera Louise Ingalls and a brother, Larry.

Pallbearers will be Don Lewis, Jerry Haupert, Steve Uthe, Mike Yandrich, Bud Gifford and Jack McClure.
