South Sioux City—David Alan Daricek, 39, of South Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, December 25, 1999 in Sioux City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Morningside Post 697. There will be no visitation.

Mr. Daricek was born July 13, 1960 in Harris County, Texas, the son of Billie Franklin and Audrey Jean (Wyatt) Daricek. He was raised in Texas and graduated from Springbush High School in Texas. He served in the US Navy from 1978 to 1981, graduating from Naval Sea Cadets in 1978 in Orlando, Florida. He moved to South Sioux City in 1994.

He married Barb Jammal on November 23, 1994 in South Sioux City. He was employed with various car dealerships in the Siouxland area. He then owned and operated the Galley Restaurant in South Sioux City. He was currently employed with Spomer Motors in Worthington, Minnesota as a sales manager.

He was baptized in the Baptist faith. He was a member of Omadi Masonic Lodge 5 in South Sioux City and Scottish Rite and Abu Bekr Shrine in Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife, his mother of Houston, a son, John Jammal of South Sioux City, two daughters, Lynnsie Jammal of South Sioux City and Danielle Wright of Aurora, Colorado, a sister and her husband, Judy and James Barnhouse of Houston, a brother and his wife Brad and Lelinda Daricek of Houston and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
