Terral C. “Jack” Goodwin, 86, of Sioux City died Monday, January 3, 2000 at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present 6:30 to 8:30 at the funeral home.

Mr. Goodwin was born September 17, 1913 in Decatur, Nebraska, the son of George Albert and Nettie (Jackson) Goodwin. He moved with his family to Onawa, Iowa when he was 6 years old. He lived in South Sioux City for a few years, before moving to Sioux City in the late 1940’s.

He married Carol “Kaye” Dunn on April 23, 1949 in South Sioux City. He was a self-employed painter contractor and worked for various painting contractors in the city. She died May 9, 1963 in Sioux City.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon K. Goodwin of Sioux City, a niece and her husband, Janice and Floyd Clark of Dakota City and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Dan and Jason Davis, Gary and Floyd Clark, Glenn Stwoe and Brian Wilson.
