Jon Matthew Langley, 32, of Sioux City died Thursday, December 30, 1999 near Sioux City.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Elder Robert Smith officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Langley was born June 23, 1967 in Sioux City, the son of Jack and Sheila (Davis) Langley. He was raised in Sioux City and attended schools in Sioux City, Des Moines and Clarinda, Iowa and Smyrna, Tenn. He graduated from Sioux City West High School in 1985. He attended Drake University and Morningside College. He also studied at Caen University in Caen, France. He graduated cum laude from Morningside College in 1998, with a degree in photography.

He married Sabine Priol in 1992, in Caen, France. The couple separated after five years. For the last three years, he shared his life with companion, Molly Duncan and her son, Eli.

He was a musician, and had lived in London, Normandy, France and Phoenix. He was employed as a coppersmith at the Reaissance Festival in Colorado and Minnesota. He was employed as a potter’s assistance with Winchester Pottery in Salix, Iowa. The last three years, he worked as a entertainer in the Siouxland area. He also had a photography shop.

He was baptized and confirmed at Guthie Grove Campground, RLDS Church in Guthrie, Iowa.

Survivors include her parents of Sioux City, a brother, Michael of Sioux City; his grandparents, Gwen and Ossie Langley of Sioux City and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
