Gladys H. Keil, 97, of Sioux City, died Friday, January 21, 2000 at a Sioux City nursing home following a short illness.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. at Calvin Chapel of First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Donald Cameron officiating. There will be no visitation or viewing. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel is handling funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Keil was born September 28, 1902, in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of William and Emma (Barrett) Clark. She attended Kingsley Schools.

She married Alfred M. Keil on July 13, 1920, in Storm Lake, Iowa. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Sioux City. Her husband died November 6, 1971 in Sioux City.

She was a Methodist.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Bette and John Pojunos of Sioux City; two grandchildren; John W. and Becky; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; Ivan and Frank Clark and a sister, Leda Sanford.

Memorial in her name may be directed to Hospice of SIouxland.
