Doris L. Mozak, 95, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Rupp officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Doris was born on Dec. 16, 1921, in Clark, S.D., the daughter of William and Mary (Hink) Massey. She married Ted Mozak on Jan. 9, 1938. He preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1977. Doris was a long time employee of Sears, but was most proud to help with the opening of the Palmer's Olde Tyme Candy Shoppe.

Doris enjoyed time with family and friends, gambling, watching Dancing with the Stars, and a high ball on occasion. She was loved by many.

Survivors include her daughters, Sherry (Tom) Hansel of Sioux City, and Deb (Dick) Pratt of Goodyear, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Tim (Tracey) Mozak of Dakota Dunes, S.D., Chrissey Sweet and her fiance, Rich of Sioux City, Bret (Amy) Eckstein of Dallas, Texas, Peggy (Aaron) Kraft of California, and Jennifer (Dan) Wubbena of South Dakota; 16 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Gola Bales; and her beloved Yorkie, Missy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted Mozak; son, Ron Mozak; grandson, Todd Mozak; and several siblings.

A special thanks to Hospice of Siouxland for their excellent care of our mother.

She was the matriarch of the Mozak family.
