Sterling D. McInnis, 87, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be directed to meyerbroschapels.com.
Sterling, the son of Hector and Vera (Hendricks) McInnis, was born on Dec. 4, 1929, in Alcester, S.D. After graduation, he honorably served in country in the U.S. Air Force.
Sterling married Norma "Pat" Trobaugh on Nov. 8, 1974 in Elk Point, S.D. Sterling was a foreman in shipping and receiving at Interbake Foods for more than 30 years.
He enjoyed reading, being outdoors, and tinkering on things. He loved his music and recorded several songs with his guitar which he'd played since age 11.
Sterling is survived by his wife, Norma "Pat" McInnis of Sioux City; and a large loving family of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Brady.
