Lila L. (Stephens) Solomon, 76, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at a local hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. John Jorgensen officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Lila was born on Sept. 27, 1940, in Burton, Neb., the daughter of Gaius W. and Ethel A. (Whitlock) Stephens. She attended Sioux City Public Schools and graduated from Central High School.
Lila is survived by her daughters, Susan (Mike) Rydstrom of Sheldon, Iowa, and Misty (Jeff) Goergen of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, Gregg Solomon of Sioux City; two brothers, Robert and William Stephens, both of Sioux City; and she was blessed with nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, LeAnn Stephens; and a granddaughter.
