Terry Beck, 67, of Alamo, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, at a Sioux City hospital.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Terry was born on Aug. 18, 1949, in Sioux City, to Ray and Nettie (Ferguson) Beck. He graduated from Hinton (Iowa) High School in 1967 and went on to attend business college.

Terry moved to Detroit, Mich., and worked at Thorn Apple Valley for several years before moving to Olathe, Kan., in 2002, where he worked for Tyson until he retired in 2014. Following his retirement, he moved to Alamo. He enjoyed the warm weather and going to South Padre Island and Corpus Christi. Terry also enjoyed traveling and going to Lake Okoboji.

Those left to honor his memory include his brothers, Dennis (Lu) Beck of Columbus, Neb., and Roger (Dianne) Beck of Sioux City; six nieces and nephews; and 13 grandnieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Niki Beck.
