David Palacios Jr., 23, of Sioux City, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at a local hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

David Palacios was born on Sept. 26, 1993, in Sioux City, the son of David and Michelle (Doty) Palacios Sr. David graduated in 2011 from North High School. He then attended Briar Cliff University and Western Iowa Tech Community College. He was in the physical therapist program.

David worked at several businesses in Sioux City including Menards driving fork lift and most recently as a driver with King Sea. He was a hard worker who enjoyed spending his spare time with his family and going to sporting events.

He is survived by his parents, David and Michelle Doty-Palacios; his brother, Andrew Palacios; his paternal grandmother, Maria Palacios, all of Sioux City; a cousin, Antonio Palacios of North Sioux City; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Angel Palacios; and maternal grandparents, Billy and Doris Doty.
