D. Joann Choquette, 73, of Sioux City, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

A Celebration of Life (a "How you Doin!") will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Waterbury Funeral Service, 4125 Orleans Avenue. Lunch will be served.

Joann Choquette was born May 20, 1944, in Santa Monica, Calif., the daughter of Woodrow Click and Dorothy (Johnson) Eller. She moved with her family as a young girl to Soldier, Iowa, for a short time before moving back to California. She spent many years in Colorado before returning to Iowa in 1996.

She married Ramon Choquette on Nov. 25, 2000, and together they made their home in Sioux City.

Before retiring in 2013, Joann worked in customer service at local credit unions. She loved keeping track of her children, her friends, enjoyed reading, and spending time with her husband and her dogs.

Joann is survived by her husband, Ramon of Sioux City; one daughter, Dawn (Don) Rogers of Wellington, Colo., a son, Jay Parry (Meemee Lahman) of Estes Park, Colo.; Ramon’s five sons, Phil, Vance (Danita), Tony, Eric (Cindy), and Jason (Karen), their children and grandchildren; two sisters and a sister-in-law, and their families.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister and her husband; one brother; and one brother-in-law.
