Richard A. Divis Jr., 66, of Sioux City, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Southern Hills Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Richard was born May 9, 1951, in Sioux City, the son of Richard A. Sr. and Beverly (Earley) Divis. He attended Sioux City Community Schools. Mr. Divis was employed as department manager in the Automotive and Sporting Goods departments for Kmart.

Richard married Carol Hamburg on June 15, 1969, in Sioux City. They had two children, Dale and Kellie.

Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with grandchildren, coin collecting and driving the golf cart around with the grandkids. He was a member of the Post Polio Group in Sioux City.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol; mother, Beverly; son, Dale and wife, Bobbi Divis of Sonora, Calif.; daughter, Kellie and husband, Travis Baker of Sioux City; brothers, Ed Divis and wife, Elaine of Sioux City, Mike Divis and wife, Nolleen of Madrid, Iowa, and Steve Divis and wife, Dixie of Great Bend, Kan.; sister, Georgia Dietz of Spirit Lake, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Billie and husband, Todd, Andrew, Aaron and wife, Katie, Alexis, Gabriel, Seth and Travis Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father.
