Clara Louise Beaulieu, 90, of Ogden, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City and Plymouth County, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998 at the Ogden Manor.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Carson Funeral Home in Ogden, with the Rev. Marty Jacobsen, the Rev. Thomas Munn and Sister Lois Lehmann officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Beaulieu was born February 26, 1908 in Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Reidiger) Epling. She attended school in Lawton, Iowa.

She married Steve Beaulieu in 1932, in Elk Point, S.D. He died in April 1982. The couple lived in Le Mars, Iowa and Sioux City. In 1940, they moved to Ogden, where they owned and operated Ogden Motor Company. They then lived in Boone for 19 years, where she worked as a jail matron. They moved to a farm near Ogden in the 1960’s where they remained until moving into Ogden in 1980. She had been a resident of Ogden Manor for several years.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ogden. She enjoyed collectibles, refinishing antiques and quilting.

Survivors include a niece and her husband, Elaine and Les Deman of Des Plains, Illinois; two nephews and their wives, Bernard L. and Teri Epling of Bluffton, S.C. ad Wesley M. and Lila Epling of Hudson, Iowa; and a brother-in-law, Donald Beaulieu of St. Louis, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Epling.
