Irene May Hair 1923 - 2015

Irene May Hair was born on September 8, 1923, near Anthon, IA, the daughter of Asher and Gladys (Livermore) Bolles. She married Kenneth Hair on May 1, 1940, at Sioux City, IA. The couple farmed in the Anthon and Correctionville area.

Irene was a member of the Church of Christ at Anthon where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She also was a member of the Christian Ladies Society.

Irene loved to sew, especially for her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and doing crafts. her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family.

Those survivors left to cherish Irenes memory include two daughters, Mary Hair and Delores Hair both of Correctionville; a son and his wife, Pastor Keith and Nancy Hair of Ida Grove; two grandchildren, April Hair of Omaha and Shane (Christy) Hair of Omaha; two great grandchildren, Cadie and Allie of Omaha; and two sisters, Shirley Downing of Anthon and Jeanette Cavin of Omaha.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; a son, Vernon, a sister, Velma, and a brother, Dale.
