SIOUX CITY | Henry E. Fields of Boston, Mass., formerly of Sioux City, made his transition after a brief illness on April 11, 2017.

Memorial services will be held on May 5, at Charles St A.M.E Church in Dorchester, Mass.

Henry was born on Jan. 7, 1941, in Sioux City, to Jean Haven Fields and Mark H. Fields Sr. He attended Hopkins Elementary, West High and Central High School, where he served as class president, student council, and Knight of the Castle. He moved to Boston, where he lived for the past 30 years.

He is survived by his brothers, Mark Jr. (Mary), Jerry (Bonnie), and Bobby; his sister, JoAnne (David); 13 nieces and nephews; and 21 grandnieces and nephews.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Mark H. Fields Sr.; and his brother, Phillip.
