SIOUX CITY | Timothy W. Hulleman, 60, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at his residence.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Monsignor Duchaine officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.

Tim was born on Jan. 31, 1957, in Sioux City, to Thomas and Marlene (Cox) Hulleman. He attended Sioux City schools, Sacred Heart, Riverside and West High School. He played basketball at Riverside and was on a slow pitch team for a couple of years.

He worked at Sew Vac on Pearl Street for over 35 years, where he practiced the trade of repairing sewing machines and vacuum cleaners with the owners, Frank Slavik and Mike Corey. He remained working there after they passed away. He really missed his faithful customers when the building was sold.

Tim was a dedicated fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Iowa Hawkeyes football teams, and the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team. He was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother, Marlene Hulleman of Sioux City; sister, Renee Murray of Sioux City; brother, Retired Chief Master Sgt. Dale (Melinda) Hulleman of Las Vegas, Nev.; nephews, Sean, Calvin and Cory; nieces, Jennifer, Lindsay, Ashley, Danelle and Krysta; and special friend, Jill Burnight and her children, Deanna (Rick) Scott and Chad Burnight; and her grandsons, Mason and Nathan Scott.

He is preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Alva and Stella Cox, and Dick and Mildred Hulleman.

Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
