SIOUX CITY | Reno Felicioni, 92, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at a local care center.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Todd Schlitter officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Reno was born on May 5, 1924, in Shirkieville, Ind., the son of John and Italia (Salbago) Felicioni. He graduated from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Ill., and then enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

While stationed in Midland, Texas, Reno met and married Dolores Watson on May 5, 1943. The couple lived in Lake Bluff, Ill., for seven years before moving to Sioux City in 1953. Reno worked as a carpenter for 20 years before becoming a building inspector for the city of Sioux City, retiring in 1987.

Reno enjoyed volunteering for the Disabled American Veterans, where he would drive veterans to the Sioux Falls Hospital, for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Masonic Triangle Lodge 643, the American Legion Post 447, Sioux City Scottish Consistory, and the Abu Bekr Shrine Temple. Reno was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his son, John and wife, Dora Felicioni of Billings, Mont.; daughter, Della and husband, Conrad Brehm of Vinton, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Angela "Michelle," Robert, Jimmy, Rosalyn, Joy, Daniel, Randy, and Jennifer; two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two nephews, Jerry and John.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; daughter, Barbara; and a sister, Gloria.

Memorials may be sent to the Masonic Triangle Lodge 643 in Reno's memory.
