SIOUX CITY | Lorraine G. Harmon, 91, of Sioux City, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at a nursing home in South Sioux City.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. Tom Loftus officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Lorraine G. Harmon was born July 22, 1925, at Beresford, S.D., the daughter of Minus and Ester (Edblum) Larson. She attended rural school near Beresford.

On Dec. 18, 1948, she married Donald E. Harmon at Elk Point, S.D. The couple then resided in Sioux City, where she provided a home and raised her children.

Lorraine is survived by her children and their spouses, David and Carole Harmon of Grand Island, Neb., Daniel and Karen Harmon of Glendale, Ariz., Dean and Lisa Harmon of Omaha, Doug and Linda Harmon of Harrison, Tenn., Darlys and Tom Miller of Dakota Dunes, and Donald and Terry Harmon of Spring, Texas; three brothers, Arnie, Milford and Kenny; five sisters, Marilyn, Ardell, Delores, Marie and Karen; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; two brothers, Cameron and Darrell; and one sister, Mildred.
