26 January 2017SIOUX CITY | Edith E. Domnisse, 91, of Sioux City, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at her residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Edith was born on Feb. 22, 1925, in Sioux City, the daughter of George and Anna (Utech) Frerichs. She graduated from the Leeds High School.
On March 6, 1949, she was united in marriage to Elmer Domnisse. During the mid 1960s they moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where she was a food service coordinator for an elementary school. After retiring, they moved back to Sioux City in 1985.
Edith enjoyed playing Yahtzee and bingo with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Edith is survived by her son, Michael of Sioux City; her daughter, Sheila Summers of Lawton, Iowa; four grandchildren, Christy Domnisse, April Keokenchanh, Michael Domnisse Jr., and Jasmine King; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and seven brothers and sisters.
