SIOUX CITY | LaVonne Molesworth, 95, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at her residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Salix, Iowa. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

LaVonne was born on Sept. 10, 1921, in Salix, the daughter of Joseph and Evonne (LaFleur) Haindfield. LaVonne attended Sloan (Iowa) High School and then married William Molesworth. To this union two sons were born. William passed away in 1987.

LaVonne was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching One Life To Live, traveling and going on picnics in Yankton, S.D.

Survivors include her two sons, Ronald Molesworth of Le Mars, Iowa, and Michael Molesworth of Sioux City; her brother, Joe Haindfield and his wife, Mary Lou of Sergeant Bluff; a sister-in-law, Darlene Lueck of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; twin baby sisters; another sister, Laurencia Rossow; and two brothers, Darl and Donald.
