SIOUX CITY | Delores Horsley, 78, of Armour, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at her home.

Service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Delores Horsley was born on Jan. 3, 1939, in Sioux City, to Cecil and Lucille (Lau) Boggs. She attended school in Bronson, and Luton, Iowa.

She married Loren Horsley on Feb. 15, 1957 in Sioux City. She worked for Johnson Biscuit in Sioux City. They bought a farm near Sioux City until selling in 1979 when they moved back to Sioux City, where she worked at York Steakhouse. They moved to Armour in 2002, where she worked at the nursing home and a daycare. Loren died on Nov. 1, 2014.

Delores enjoyed camping and playing Yahtzee. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Horsley of Armour; two grandchildren, Luke Horsley of Sioux City, and Sarah (Seth) Steinhoff of Hornick, Iowa; three great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Horsley of Sioux City, and Jacob and Maddie Steinhoff of Hornick; three brothers, Duane (Beth) Lau of Cushing, Iowa, Danny (Marge) Boggs of Chewelah, Wash., and Don (Chris) Boggs of Sioux City; and sister, DeAune Pixler of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Derek Boggs.
