Mary Beatrice "Bea" Davis, 87, of Redding, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, in Fall River Mills, Calif., following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. James A. Bruch officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Davis was born April 28, 1918, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of John Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Dempsey) McCarville.

She married James "Don" Davis on Aug. 5, 1943, in Wyoming. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 1996, in Redding, Calif. She resided in Sioux City for many years before moving to Redding 23 years ago. She had been a beautician for several years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Speigle of Redding and Dawn Davis of Fall River Mills, Calif.; a brother and his wife, Tim and Deb McCarville of Emmetsburg, Iowa; and a sister, Doris Manten of Colchester, Conn.
