KINGSLEY, Iowa -- Grace M. Holdcroft, 97, of Kingsley died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at Kingsley Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingsley.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Arlington Township Cemetery at Moville, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Grace was born June 4, 1908, in Mohawk, Tenn., the daughter of John Amos and Minnie Anne (Dyer) Crittenden.

She married Waldo Holdcroft on Feb. 7, 1929. After their marriage, the couple lived in the Moville area for many years. Mr. Holdcroft passed away on July 31, 1987. Grace entered Kingsley Nursing & Rehab Center in September 2002.

Grace enjoyed spending time with her family, cleaning house and watching TV.

Survivors include a son, Edward Holdcroft and his wife, Sue of Kingsley; a daughter, Bette Lander of Sioux City; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Belle Holdcroft of Appleton, Wis., and Pearl Jauron of Earling, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two great-grandchildren, Tracy Mead and Paige Myers; and a son-in-law, Bernard Lander.
