CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa -- Elnora Elaine Arnburg, 81, of Correctionville passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center after a long illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church, Correctionville, with the Rev. Sheryl K. Ashley officiating. Burial will be in the Correctionville Cemetery under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home.

Elnora was born April 12, 1924 in Casey, Iowa, to Lawrence and Osa (Parker) Betts. She graduated from Casey High School in 1942 and married Wayne Wesley Arnburg on March 3, 1943, in Omaha, Neb.

Wayne and Elnora moved to Correctionville in 1947 and bought the Ford Dealership in 1958. Nori was the bookkeeper for the "Shop" all those years. She was a meticulous bookkeeper and received awards from Ford Motor Co. for that. Nori was very involved in her town and community and was active in Eastern Star, Grace United Methodist Women, American Legion Auxiliary, U-GO I-Go (Pink doily) Bridge Club, Linger Longer 500 Club, Women's Federal Club, Town and Country, Putter Pals, Red Hat Society, Girl Scout Leader, Ced-Cor Woodbury County Historical Society, St. Luke's Auxiliary, helped bring Lifeline to Correctionville, volunteered at Correctionville Nursing Home with current events for the residents and Committee for Sesquicentennial Cookbooks.

Nori especially enjoyed her life of 60 years with her husband Wayne. She was a wonderful mother and doting grandmother. She loved nothing better than big family get-togethers.

She is survived by her children Gary and Sandy Arnburg of Des Moines, Iowa, Roger and Becky Arnburg of Sioux City, and Nancy and Bill O'Connell of Anthon, Iowa; her grandchildren Deb and Jerry Ruud of Wyoming, Minn., Mark and Linda Arnburg, Wendi and Mark Kaiser and Scott and Wendy Arnburg all of Des Moines, Susan and Jon DeJong of Omaha, Neb., Tom Arnburg and Cora Marriott of Altoona, Iowa, Richard and Shelly Volk of Fairbanks, Ark., Darrin and Becky Volk and James Volk and Crystal Wittebort of all Kansas City, Kan., June Topp of Maple Grove, Minn., Keri and Jason Aschenbrenner of Laurens, Iowa, Sean and Trish Arnburg of Sioux City, Jason Arnburg with Special Forces in Virginia Beach, Va., Thomas (presently with the Marine Corps in Iraq) and Jessica Arnburg of Sioux City, Stacy O'Connell and Lucas Etheredge of Fredricksburg, Texas, Jennifer and Jarrett Beeson of Correctionville, and Eric and Jennifer O'Connell of Anthon, Iowa; her great-grandchildren Amanda, Jennifer, Michael,

Angela, Ryan, Natalie, Nathan, Tyler, Taylor, Noah, Jordan, Ashley, Sidney, Brinlie, Kinsey, Sierra, DeCora, Katelynn, Benjamin, Rhianna, Carter, Cassidy, Dayton, Kaleb, William, Brennan, Justin, Isaac, Tyler, Cameron, and Hannah; her sisters, Lois Anson of Avoca, Iowa and Louise and Harold Petefish of Dodge Center, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother Jim.
