Eunice Martha Hunt, 80, Sergeant Bluff, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in Sioux City.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Schiller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Visitation will also be at noon Monday prior to the service.

Eunice was born May 23, 1925 at Ponca, Neb., daughter of Edward and Clara (Koch) Heidy. She was raised in rural Dixon County, Nebraska, and attended school at Ponca. She married Vincent S. Hunt on Aug. 20, 1947, in Sergeant Bluff. He passed away May 4, 1992.

She was a member of Senior Center, Sergeant Bluff, and was a volunteer at Embassy Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sergeant Bluff. Eunice was a member of Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church. She was a housewife all her married life and worked for Motel 6 for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and also loved growing yellow roses.

Survivors include daughters Shirley and Greg Cormany, Sioux City, Eunice and Harry Burch, Charleston, W.V., and Carol and Tim Wilson, Arnolds Park, Iowa; son David and Lori Hunt, Liberal, Kan.; sisters Olivia and Larry Pailer, Warrenton, Mo., Muriel Moore, Denver, Ida Johnson, Warrenton, Mo.; brother Carl and Dee Heidy, Orting, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Christina, Andrew, Casandra, Bethany, Dixie, Heather and Heidi; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her parents, Clara and Edward Heidy; and two grandsons
