CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa -- Grace Ellen Schulke, 98, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, in Correctionville.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Grace was born Feb. 9, 1909, in Correctionville, the daughter of Alexander Henry and Elsie Jane (Bower) Fullerton. She was raised in the Correctionville area and graduated from Correctionville High School in 1927.

She married Lester Otto Schulke in 1927, at Papillion, Neb. The couple farmed east of Cushing for four years. In 1932, they moved to their farm south of Correctionville, where she still resided at the time of her death. Lester died Feb. 21, 1992.

Grace enjoyed cooking, sewing and children. She liked making the holiday dinners for family and especially enjoyed hosting the annual Easter egg hunt at the farm.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Eugene and Claudia Schulke of Storm Lake, Iowa; nine grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Naomi and her husband, John Wansink, and Eileen Dawson, all of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Dean Schulke in 1964; a daughter, Esther Jane Watt in 2001; four brothers, Roy, Albert, Clarence and Earl Fullerton; and an infant sister.
