HORNICK, Iowa -- Marian (Oldis) Hansen, 73, of Hornick died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at her residence.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa, with the Rev. Jim Thomas officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Marian was born Jan. 9, 1934, in rural Hornick, the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Durr) Oldis. She was raised in the Holly Springs/Hornick area and graduated from Holly Springs Public School with the class of 1952.

She and Earland "Putter" Hansen were united in marriage in Holly Springs on Sept. 7, 1952. They farmed in the Climbing Hill, Iowa, and Holly Springs area, where they raised their family. She was employed for several years at area nursing homes and most recently served senior meals in Hornick.

Her favorite "job" was milking cows. She enjoyed talking to and being with her family and friends. She was a big fan of Elvis Presley and Tiger Woods.

Survivors include four sons, Dave of Climbing Hill, Iowa, Donovan and his wife, Barb of Smithland, Iowa, Dirk and his wife, Barb of Hornick and Darwin and his wife, Julie of Hornick, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Tom and his wife, Pam, Chris, Jeremy, Heath, Andy and his wife, Sara, Tony, Tyler, Josh and his friend, Tiffany, Cordell, Jordan, Juan, Emilee and Ethan; four great-grandchildren, Tommy, Trenton, Mickey and Lilly; a sister and her husband, Opal and Luke Dellwo of Sergeant Bluff; a sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Jerry Ernster of Waterloo, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Putter; and a brother, Ronald.
