SIOUX CITY | Darald Nyreen, 73, of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at his home.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Darald, son of Harvey and Luella (Marsh) Nyreen, was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Sioux City. He grew up in Sioux City. Following his schooling, Darald served with the United States Navy. He then returned to Sioux City and worked many years for IBP.

Darald enjoyed watching sci-fi movies, Netflix, chatting with his buddies, woodworking, fixing things for his nieces, and the companionship of his cat, Mick.

Darald is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Edward and Larry.
