18 May 2016SIOUX CITY | June M. Jensen, 97, of Sioux City died Monday, May 16, 2016, at a local nursing home.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
June was born on June 6, 1918, in Wakonda, S.D., the daughter of Julius and Hazel Johnson. She married Sherman Jensen. They made their home in Sioux City other than a few years in Omaha. Sherman died in 1975.
June enjoyed crocheting, sewing and working in the yard.
Survivors include daughter, Donna Parker of Sergeant Bluff; four grandchildren, Chris (Mike) Montgomery of Sioux City, Cindy (Mike) Otis of Kansas, Cheryl Goodall of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Alan Parker of Houston, Texas; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sherman; two brothers; and a sister.
