SIOUX CITY | Arnold D. Loutsch, 83, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City. The Rev. Daniel Rupp will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Remsen, Iowa. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Arnold was born on Aug. 31, 1932, in Remsen, the son of Michael and Clara (Pletschette) Loutsch. Arnold grew up in the Remsen area and attended Remsen St. Mary's.

He married Mary Lou Meister. She passed away in 2015. Arnold worked for Holtz Construction and W.A. Klinger Construction.

In his younger years, Arnold enjoyed motorcycles and going to the horse and dog races. He enjoyed going to auctions, traveling to see extended family and going to morning coffee.

Survivors include three children, Timmie Loutsch (Inoka) of Hinesville, Ga., Veronica Miller (Rick Rohde) of Sioux City, and Michael Loutsch (Miranda Peterson) of Sioux City; three sisters, Mary Jane Marsh of Le Mars, Iowa, Carol Shimitz of Sioux City and Marlene Pinney (LeRoy) of Sioux City; three brothers, Nick Loutsch of Sioux City, Jim Loutsch (Joyce) of Akron, Iowa, and Marvin Loutsch (Joan) of Le Mars; seven grandchildren, Timmie, Christina, Marcus, Melissa, Broderick, Brooke and Melanie; and nine great-grandchildren.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Elaine Loutsch.
