William N. Bledsoe 1887 - 1942

William N. Bledsoe, 55, 618 W. Second Street, a veteran of the First World War, died this morning in the veteran’s hospital at Des Moines, following a brief illness. Mr. Bledsoe was an employe of the Sioux City Tent and Awning Company here for 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Boniface Catholic Church. Rev. Frederick Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will remain at the O’Toole-Gunn Funeral Home until time of service.

Mr. Bledsoe was born July 31, 1887, near Farnhamville, Iowa, coming to Sioux City in 1912.

Surviving are the widow, Martha; two sons, Jerry and William; two daughters, Mildred and Dorothy, and two grandchildren, all of Sioux City; six sisters, Mrs. Maude Davis of Rapid City, S.D., Mrs. Cora Twinning and Mrs. Ruth Oxford, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Lula Lichty and Mrs. Mary Lichty, both of Brunswick, Nebraska and Mrs. Alice Rake of Bremerton, Wash., and one brother, Robert Bledsoe, of Oral, S.D.
