LAWTON, Iowa -- Cynthia Kay Bibler, 42, of Lawton died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton, with the Rev. Bruce Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Cynthia was born May 8, 1961, in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of James Ardell and Patricia Kay (Reinert) Thomas. She was raised in Correctionville, Iowa. She graduated from Eastwood High School, and in 2000 graduated from Morningside College.

She married Allen Bibler on Feb. 14, 1981. After her marriage, she moved to Moville, Iowa, where the couple lived for 11 years before moving to Lawton. She was currently employed at Dave Seiler's Accounting as an accountant. Prior to that, she owned the Book Rack in Sioux City and worked for John Deere, Sue Bee Honey and Bibler Bookkeeping.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She was in the middle of acquiring her fraud investigation certificate.

She is survived by her husband, Allen Bibler of Lawton; her parents of Moville; her children, Thomas and Shannon Bibler, both of Lawton; two sisters and their husbands, Deborah and Tony Gunsch of Yuma, Ariz., and Ann and Tom Roughton of Bakersfield, Calif.; her grandmother, June Reinert of Cherokee; her parents-in-law, Jeannine and Wayne Hansen of Peterson, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Tony Reinert; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Emily Thomas; and her father-in-law, Gerald Bibler.

Pallbearers will be Mark Richardson, Ronnie Jepson, Jack Moss, Spencer Griffith, Stuart Nitzschke and Rick Lester.
