SIOUX CITY | Bruce Gerard "Fred" Streeter, 48, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 7, 2016.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Ave., in Sioux City, with Deacon Craig Wickey officiating. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Cemetery, Salix, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be 6 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Bruce was born on Sept. 15, 1968, in Sioux City, to Richard and Dora (Skip) Streeter. He grew up in Sloan, Iowa, where he attended school until moving to Brownwood,Texas, where he graduated high school. He served in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 1994.

Bruce and Katrina met in 2006 and married in October 2011. He had six children, who he loved and enjoyed spending time with. He worked in construction for many years, most recently driving heavy equipment for Ames Construction.

Bruce enjoyed fishing, working on cars, playing games with his kids,working out and food. Bruce liked World War II documentaries and movies. He had an amazing sense of humor and he loved to laugh and make others laugh. Bruce had a big heart especially when it came to family and friends. Bruce was a jack-of-all trades.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Katrina; his father, Richard Streeter; daughters, Savannah (Hoyle) Heinsohn, Chelsea (Nick) Galletto, and Jordyn, Khaleesi; sons, Riley and Gavin; brothers, Steve and Brian; and a sister, Terri (Mike) Steuland; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bruce is preceded in death by his mother; brother, Mike; two aunts; his grandparents; and his special friend, Ron Holdgrafer.

A benefit account has been set up by the family at Siouxland Federal Credit Union to help with funeral expenses.
