Kenneth Burnell McCracken, 45, died Saturday morning in a hospital following an illness of two weeks.

Mr. McCracken was born September 23, 1900, at Paullina, Iowa. He has been a master sergeant serving in World War II with the 1055th engineer corps as a port and harbor construction man. He received a discharge from service and came to Sioux City to go into business with R.M. LaDue of a construction pipe machinery company.

Survivors include his widow, Marie; one son Dudley, of Ocola, Florida; one sister, Mrs. J.F. Lineberger, Des Moines, and his parents, E.W. McCracken of Paullina and Mrs. E.W. McCracken of Des Moines.

The body is at the Perasso Bros. Funeral Home pending arrangements.

Funeral services for Kenneth Burnell McCracken, 45, a discharged veteran of World War II who came to Sioux City recently to enter business, who died Saturday in a hospital after a two-week illness, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Perasso Bros. Funeral Home. Rev. Francis B. Shanner will officiate.

Burial will be in a cemetery at Paullina, Iowa, where he formerly lived.
