Wayne E. Mosier, 59, 4535 Peters Ave., died Tuesday as the result of a fire at his home.

Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Christy Morningside Funeral Home. The Rev. David Nelson of Grace United Methodist Church will officiate. There is no visitation. The body was cremated. Additional services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jones Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.

Mr. Mosier was born January 19, 1928, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was raised in Ottumwa; graduated from Ottumwa High School and attended Iowa Wesleyan College at Mr. Pleasant, Iowa. He married Evelyn “Evie” Mazac May 23, 1968, in LaPorte, Indiana. He moved to the Siouxland area about 10 years ago and was plant engineer for Sioux Tools, Inc. for 10 years.

Mr. Mosier was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Surviving include his wife; a son, Mitch of LaPorte; two daughters, Molly Wozniak of LaPorte and Mary Mosier of Excelsior, Minn., a step-daughter, Pam Spidahl of Devils Lake, N.D. a step-son, Bob Markiewicz of San Diego, Calif., a brother, Mark of Washington, Iowa, a sister, Clemma Hawitt of La Mesa, California and a granddaughter.
