Charles Boyd
12 June 1868 – 7 Jan 1937

Charles Boyd, son of Delilah and John Boyd, was born on June 12, 1868 at Glenwood, Iowa and passed away at Schaller, Iowa after a long illness on January 7, 1937, age 68 years six months and 26 days.

He spent his childhood in Miller County, moving to Whiting, Iowa with his parents in 1880. Three years later he moved to Hornick and resided in Hornick and Woodbury County except for the past three years when he has made his home in Schaller.

He was united in marriage to Frances Kingsnorth at Sioux City, Iowa on September 9, 1896. To this union five children were born; Homer of Anthon, Robert of Marcus, Jesse of Alta, Doris Stanton of Anthon and Charles of Schaller.

Nine grandchildren survive; Homer, Betty, Virginia, Shirley and John Robert Boyd and Raymie D., James, Donna Faye and Delilah Stanton.

Five brothers and three sisters also survive; Alf of Santa Ana, Cal., Henry, Nancy Dills and Lillie Madden of Hornick and Emma Wendel of Sioux City.

The departure of this pioneer resident and highly respected resident of Woodbury County leaves to mourn his loss many other relatives and a host of friends.
