His apprenticeship started in 1959 with Power Engineering, and moved to Lee and Lewis Electric, and he retired from Thompson Electric in 2001. Just prior to his retirement, he started his own lamp business and continued to operate this very successful business into his retirement. It made him very happy to receive payment for his services in the form of homemade lunches and pies.

Pat had a passion for building radio control air planes from scratch. He was a charter member of the Siouxland RC Modelers. He served as president in 1975, 1995, 1996, and 2003. He was a member of the War Eagle Squadron. Pat started building planes when he was eight years old, and he was the youngest member of the Helldivers Control Line Club. His specialty was the P38.

He also enjoyed camping and being in the outdoors. He was very involved in Boy Scouting and at the camp in Homer, Neb. He also enjoyed woodworking. In his younger years, Pat spent time restoring cars. He enjoyed raising puppies, which he called his “kids." Pat enjoyed his work with a passion.

He is survived by his wife, Sandie Corrigan of Sioux City; son, Marq (Amy) Corrigan of Omaha; grandson, Damian Patrick Corrigan of Omaha; mother-in-law, Beulah Pierce of Sioux City; brother-in-law, Mark (Neva) Pierce of Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
