Shannon Leigh Bogh was born on Dec. 7, 1988, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Allen and Cynthia (Thomas) Bibler. She attended school at Lawton–Bronson, graduating in 2007. Shannon furthered her education by attending Western Iowa Technical Community College in Sioux City. She majored in practical nursing and earned her LPN degree in 2009.

Shannon's first nursing job was with Opportunities Unlimited in Sioux City. She would later work with the Pride Group in Le Mars and Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen, Iowa. Most recently, Shannon worked as an LPN at the Good Samaritan Village in Le Mars.

On Sept. 10, 2011, Shannon and Philip Bogh were united in marriage in Le Mars. They made their home in Le Mars, where they raised their five children.

Family was the center of Shannon's life. She enjoyed following all of her children's activities along with all the fun things they did together. Boating and tubing, walks and trips to the park and sharing ice cream from the DQ were just a few of the things her family shared.

Along with family functions, Shannon enjoyed cooking almost anything and wasn't afraid to try new recipes. She recently learned how to can fruits and vegetables. She was an avid photographer and shared many of her photos on Facebook. Years ago she was a Kansas City Chiefs fan, but after she married Phil, she became an Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings fan. Shannon loved ice-skating, bowling, carving pumpkins and celebrating traditions. Caring, compassionate, giving and unselfish are just some of the words used to describe Shannon.

Grateful to have shared her life are her husband, Phil Bogh of Le Mars; children, Jacob and Avery; stepchildren, Haley, Addison and Tegan; grandmothers, Pat Thomas of Moville, Iowa, and Jeanne (Wayne) Hanson of Peterson, Iowa; mother-in-law, Lisa Bogh and her friend, Paul Rosauer of Anthon, Iowa; father-in-law, Chris (Melanie) Bogh of Le Mars; grandfather, Bill Bogh of Rogers, Ark.; stepbrothers and sisters, Bethani (Cody) Pratt, Ross Tentinger, Rachel Tentinger and Brookelynn Tentinger; Phil's grandparents, Dorothy and Larry Grasz and Lynn Bogh, all of Le Mars; a brother-in-law, Jason Bogh and his fiancee, Lisa of Des Moines; and best friends she considered sisters, Rachel (Dustin) Bracy and children of Moville, and Rebecca (Michael) Roberts and children of Lawrence, Kan.; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandfather, James "Jake" Thomas; and paternal grandfather, Gerald Bibler.
