YANKTON, S.D. | Jeffrey Edward LaBrie, age 28, of Yankton died unexpectedly Monday, May 23, 2016.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. led by the Rev. Jeffrey was born on May 5, 1988, in Sioux City, to Richard LaBrie and Susan (Olson) Ostendorf. He grew up in Burnsville, Minn., and moved to Yankton at the age of 15. Jeff graduated from Yankton High School in 2007. He then attended Mankato State University, majoring in business. After university, Jeff worked at BTD Industries in Farmington, Minn., where he operated CNC equipment. In 2015, he moved back to Yankton and was employed at Gehl Manufacturing. Jeffrey was a quick study and he was able to master virtually any challenge.

He enjoyed playing soccer, golf and baseball. Jeff also loved snowboarding, water skiing and riding motorcycles. He always looked forward to being around people and hanging out with his friends.

Jeff is survived by his mother, Sue (Steve) Ostendorf of Minneapolis; father, Rick LaBrie of Yankton; stepmother, Carie Hanson LaBrie of Yankton; two brothers, Austin (Becca) Wolf of Grand Lake, Colo., and Calvin LaBrie of Minneapolis; four sisters, Cari Eich and Sara Gualazzi, both of Onawa, Iowa, and Katelyn and Stephanie Ostendorf of Minneapolis; grandmother, Dee LaBrie; aunts and uncles, Kathy Fjestad, Marian and Gary Salwierak, Ed and Jean LaBrie and Patty and Ed Hastings; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Art and Beth Olson, and Roland J. LaBrie; and two uncles, Scott and Bobby Olson.
