SIOUX CITY | Julie A. Martin, 63, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Casual attire is requested by the family.

Julie was born on May 28, 1952, in Sioux City, the daughter of Keith and Dorothy (Watterson) Adams. She graduated from Heelan Catholic High School in 1970.

Julie married Michael Martin on Oct. 30, 1970, in Sioux City. Julie was a stay-at-home mom until her sons went to school. She then worked at Sacred Heart Catholic Church lunch program with her mother, Dorothy, for 10-plus years.

She spent much of her time raising exotic birds and collecting various items, including Beanie Babies, Boyds Bears, and Precious Moments. Julie loved spending time with her family and watching her sons and grandsons play sports. She was an avid Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR fan.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Martin; sons, Shane (Sara) Martin, and Derek Martin; grandsons, Kane, Gage, and Mason, all of Sioux City; sisters, Jenny Abraham of Omaha, and Jane Hockett of Sioux City; and her beloved dogs, Zoe and Zelda.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers-in-law, Art Abraham and Danny Hockett.
