SIOUX CITY | John "Jack" L. DeBuhr, 77, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, May 2, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Per his wishes he was cremated, and there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Jack was born on July 21, 1938, in Rainer, Wis., to Merle and Gladys (Olson) DeBuhr Sr. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for many years as a dispatcher, salesman and terminal manager for American Freight.

Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and going snowmobiling.

He is survived by his four sons, John DeBuhr of Sioux City, Robert DeBuhr of St. Paul, Minn., Patrick DeBuhr of Denver, Colo., and Mike (Dana) DeBuhr of Sioux City; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Merle (Shirley) DeBuhr Jr. of Fargo, N.D., and David (Sharon) DeBuhr of Chehalis, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
